Flowood's LOOSE DOGS: Neighbors KNEW Trouble Was Coming!
I knew this was coming, for real. Everyone who lives out near the Reservoir in Flowood, especially around that subdivision off Old Fannin Road, knows exactly what I'm talking about. Those pit mixes, or whatever they were, belonging to that guy on Dogwood Drive? They were always getting out. Always. My cousin's son delivers pizzas out that way sometimes and he's had to swerve more than once to avoid hitting them. I swear to God, I even saw them loose near the Kroger on Lakeland just last month. People complained. Oh, they complained all right. Animal Control was called, cops were called, but nothing ever really stuck. The owner, I won't name names here but you know who I mean, just didn't give a damn. Said they were 'friendly' and 'just playing.' Playing? They were big, aggressive dogs, and they were unsupervised. It wasn't a matter of if, but when. It’s just sickening that it took someone dying for anything to happen. This poor woman, just walking her own dog, didn’t stand a chance. It makes my blood boil thinking about it. Some people just shouldn't own animals, especially ones that could be dangerous.
