🔥 Today's Hottest Trash

ME AT 17: 'SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD.' ME AT 32: *THIS TIRED-ASS LIONESS*.

Found my high school yearbook. My senior quote was 'I'll sleep when I'm dead.' I'm 32 now and I sleep 11 hours a day. Past me was a LIAR and an IDIOT.

💀 Fresh Meat

Loose Leash

Local woman tragically killed by notoriously loose dogs in Flowood. Neighbors say the owner ignored countless warnings about the aggressive animals.

Old Man Jenkins' Dogs

Holly Springs! That pack of dogs on Pine Street finally attacked someone bad. Owner always let 'em run wild. Now a woman's mauled. Justice for the victim!

Officer Cakez

Spotted this Rankin County deputy out on Highway 80 near Flowood today and I literally almost rear-ended the car in front of me. Sir, that uniform is doing the LORD'S work. The way those tactical pants were fitting should be a criminal offense in itself. My friend said she's about to start speeding through Rankin County on purpose just to get pulled over. This man has no business looking like a whole snack while writing tickets. Somebody tell me who this is because I need to know if he's single and if he's working the night shift this weekend. The Rankin County Sheriff's Department needs to put this man on a billboard for recruitment because their enrollment is about to go THROUGH THE ROOF. I am respectfully looking. 👀🔥

Miranda Priestly of Pastries

I just need to vent about Brenda. Seriously, if you've ever worked at that little bakery on Elm Street, you know exactly who I'm talking about. The one with the cute striped awning? Yeah. She's a monster. It's just the constant passive aggression. Like, how many times can someone put up a sign that says "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean!" or "Minimum wage, maximum effort!" It's so condescending. Especially when she’s in the back, ‘managing,’ which mostly means staring at her phone or talking about her yoga retreat. And the way she talks to people? I swear I saw her make poor Maya, who's barely 17, cry last week because a customer asked for a latte with oat milk, and Maya accidentally grabbed almond. Like, a simple mistake. Brenda just tore into her, right there in front of the line of people. "Are you even listening, Maya? You need to pay attention if you want to be a professional!" I know I shouldn’t care but GOD it pisses me off. This girl is working her ass off, going to school, and Brenda treats her like dirt. Remember Jason? The guy who used to do all the sourdough? He had the flu, like, properly sick, couldn't even stand up. Called in, gave plenty of notice. Brenda *still* made him feel like he was personally ruining her life. Threatened to cut his hours if he "kept taking advantage." He ended up coming in half-dead just to avoid the drama. And then she complained he wasn't energetic enough. It’s always something. Everyone who's worked there for more than a month has a story. It’s not just one bad day. It’s her. She's just awful. And people keep going there because the pastries *are* good, but man, it's not worth it.

The 311 Tyrant

Seriously, I cannot even right now. I just got another notice from code enforcement because my mailbox post is "out of compliance" with some obscure height regulation. MY MAILBOX. Are you KIDDING me? And I know, I KNOW it's Brenda. Who else would it be? She's literally got nothing else to do but patrol the street from her window, armed with a tape measure and a phone to 311. Like, get a hobby, Brenda. Go volunteer or something. Seriously. Remember when Mark on Sycamore got a citation because his kids' chalk drawings on the sidewalk were "defacing public property"? CHALK. DRAWINGS. He had to power wash his driveway and sidewalk before the end of the day or face a fine. The kids were heartbroken. And then she complained about his lawn being too long, like, a week later. It was 3.5 inches, not 4. It's insane. And then there was the whole saga with Sarah's 'Little Free Library' that she built for the neighborhood kids. Brenda reported it for being an "unpermitted structure" and a "potential safety hazard." It was a tiny wooden box on a pole! That thing was so cute. Sarah just gave up and took it down eventually. Who does that? What kind of person spends their time ruining things for everyone else? It's just constant. Little petty stuff that doesn't hurt anyone, but she has to make it an issue. And it's always her. Everyone knows. We all have a Brenda story now. My blood pressure just skyrockets every time I see a white envelope from the city. Honestly, if you live near the Grandview Heights area, you probably already know exactly who I'm talking about.
